Keeps the vertical frame intact
Reels are 9:16, typically 1080×1920. We hand you the file exactly as Instagram stored it, with no letterboxing, cropping or re-encoding that would soften the picture.
Paste a public Reel link and save the full vertical video, or extract only its audio track.
Paste a public Reel URL — the /reel/ or /reels/ link from the share sheet.

Reels are often saved for the audio. Choose the audio option and you get an MP3 at roughly 190 kbps instead of a video file you would have to convert later.
Most Reel links are copied on a phone. Paste, tap, download — the layout, tap targets and download handoff are designed for that path first.
A Reel is stored as a 9:16 rendition around 1080×1920. Feed video is usually 1:1 or 4:5 and capped near 1080 px wide. Stories expire after 24 hours and are not addressable by a permanent URL, so they cannot be fetched from a link.
If you plan to reuse a Reel on a landscape platform, download it here and then crop it to 16:9 rather than stretching it — stretching is what makes reposted vertical video look wrong.
The engine is the same. This page is tuned for Reels: vertical output, the audio-only path, and the share-sheet link format. Use the general page for feed posts and carousels.
Instagram bakes the username overlay into the rendition it stores, so if the copy on Instagram has it, the download has it. We do not crop or inpaint to hide it — that would damage the frame and misrepresent the source.
Yes, pick the MP3 option after analysis. Note that using commercially licensed music beyond Instagram's own player may require a licence.
Links copied from a profile grid point at the profile, not the Reel. Open the Reel full-screen first, then use Share → Copy link.
Reels are capped by Instagram at 3 minutes, which is well inside our limits. Longer videos posted as feed video also work.
